		= I'm sure you, like the rest of the world, heard nothing about this show,
		but here is the skinny (by the way, the photos for the Rolling Stone
		Cover Story in fall of '93 were shot at this show...):
		Venue:  University Theatre, University of Montana, Missoula, MT (Ament
		attended this school for a bit as a ute)
		Attendance:  Sell-out, 1300.  Not what one would call a huge gig, but let
		us remember this:  Tickets went on sale the same morning the show was
		announced and proceeded to sell out in 25 minutes.  Not too shabby.
		The show:  A local band opened and did their best Soundgarden impression,
		which was quite unnecessary.  They wrapped up a 30 minute set and everyone
		was primed for THE BIG SHOW, but alas, the NBA finals were on TV, so the
		boys kept us waiting for nearly an hour and a half.  However, when they
		did take the stage they were kind enough to give us the score of the
		game, as well as start the set with "Animal."  After two more songs off
		"Vs." (which no one knew, of course) they played "Even Flow," which just
		ripped.  I don't remember the exact set list, but I do know that "Leash,"
		"Rats," "Go" (with Ed counting on his fingers, with the middlefinger
		representing one...), and all of Ten except "Porch" (and maybe one other?).
		They also played "Teenage Wasteland," and "Rockin' in the Free World,"
		and  closed with "Garden" and "Indifference." Eddie was pretty much
		shit-faced  on wine and raving about lots of nothing, when some kind
		soul  threw a shoe on stage.  Eddie proceeded to pick it up, give thanks,
		and lick the sole before hurling it back into the audience, which, by the
		way,  was absolutely rabid during the entire course of the two hour show.
		In short, it was nothing short of genius: probably the best show I've ever
		been to.  Anyway, I hope this helps flesh out your list a bit...Thanks.

		= I don't know what that Brother one is.  This show was before "Vs."
		came out, so it was kinda tough to know what songs were played, since I'd
		never heard them before.  They also did a little bit of 'Dirty Frank' by
		request, but not the whole song, and I'm pretty sure that they did

		Led off with 'Release', played all of 'Ten' except for 'Oceans'.  Played 1
		song off 'Vs.', but I don't know which one.  Also did a cover version of 
		'Owner of a Lonely Heart' by Yes with the words changed around - 'Fuck 
		yourself...etc...' with the lead singer of Cadillac Tramps.
		Eddie had the bottle of red wine, and also did a stage dive near the end 
		of the concert (one of his last).
		Ed also had to come out to tell everyone to move back because they were 
		trying to reinforce the barrier, but the people at the front of the mosh 
		pit were making it difficult.  He seemed to carry some weight with the 
		crowd - they moved back.

		headlined the Saturday night of what the local press described as
		"Mudfest".  It rained for nearly 24 hours.  The other acts were a Winnipeg
		band Liquid Bone Dance (Soundgarden colliding with the Chili Peppers, but
		good with it).  There were 5 bands in Canada's Yamaha band contest.  The best
		did not win, but they never do in these things, Then there were 4 National
		Canadian acts: Skydiggers, The Pursuit Of Happiness (my reason for
		travelling so far, it must be said), The Watchmen, 54-40. The Pearl Jam.

		= Eddie and Jeff have the night off in Eddie's old stomping grounds. Eddie
		calls the Improv to reserve a place to see a spoken word performance by the
		seminal punk poet Jim Carroll....Jim does a long set with musical 
		accompaniament by Lenny Kaye on guitar...Lenny is an ex-member of the Patti 
		Smith group and has produced many albums by other artistes.....They all
		meet afterwards in a small room in the back of the club.  Stories are
		told, time is shared, and new friendships are formed. I wish I could tell
		you all that happened back there, but it was way too funny and way too
		intense.  Two days later ex-Minuteman and Firehose's Mike Watt, the
		legendary bassist, joins PJ onstage for a rousing version of the Who's 'Baba
		O'Riley'.  Watt beams like a high school coach watching his students score
		the winning points in a state championship. The next year, Eddie returns
		the favor by singing on 'Against the 70's' on Mike Watt's solo album, due
		out any day now.
